Joplin Missouri Spiva Center for the Arts
The Spiva Center's is not just an art exhibit, they offer classes as well! Spiva provides a broad spectrum of creative, educational art programs for the four state community and encourages all age groups to explore, enjoy and participate in the arts. Classes take place in their classrooms, galleries and even on the streets. Instructors here are certified, and/or have several years of teaching experience. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

If you are up for a road trip Crystal Bridges is FREE! General admission to Crystal Bridges is sponsored by Walmart. There is no cost to view the Museum's permanent collections. There may occasionally be a ticket fee to view optional special exhibitions. (Usually ~$6) The museum offers year round programming for all ages, including lectures, art-making workshops, films, gallery talks, and special events. In addition, Crystal Bridges offers educational programming for K-12 school groups designed to fit with Common Core Standards. They also have beautiful hiking trails on site that open at sunrise and stay open until sunset. There are many sculptures to look at as you walk the trails and explore the grounds.
